Sara Simon is an artist, art therapist and mother from Yorkshire. She works in a teeny studio in a creative little household on the edge of the Peak District, UK, with her husband and two sons, and can see the Sun rise over the hills from her drawing board. She has illustrated several fiction and non-fiction books for Veronika Robinson.
She loves trees, long walks, wild swimming, the sky, gardening, the sea, canoeing, camping, chocolate, cats, and reading with a torch way after bedtime. She doesn’t like cooking (except cake), driving, jazz, hospitals or being cold. Sara’s artistic career has come full circle from pencil and paper, drawing everything that stayed put for longer than two minutes; through computer-based design for print and the Internet and the high-pressure world of advertising; and then back home to the easel, in colourful paint-stained trousers, dipping her paintbrush in her tea.
